NEED HAIRSTYLISTS HELP I want my hair to be blonde on top & black underneath What is the correct

My natural hair color is dirty blonde. I dyed my hair 6 months ago medium brown. I desperatly want my long layers underneath in the back to be either dark brown or black and the shorter layers that overlap the longer ones blonde. My sister used to be a hairstylists so she is going to do it for me but she doesnt even know where to begin with this style. I need to know the correct process and if i should seperate my hair in half and start with the black or brown. also which color would work better with the blonde so it wont run either the black or dark brown. Please help. I am supposed to get my hair done later today. thank you so much

This isn't very hard to do. I have my hair dyed red with almost white layer underneath. I do it myself with no problems or bleeding of color.

I would pull the top layer of hair up and pin it out of the way then dye the bottom black. I also use a plastic shopping bag as added protection on the top layer. It doesn't cover the roots but if your use a brush to apply the dye you will be fine. After you are finished with the dye job. Then use a pony tail holder or clips if your hair is short to keep the black hair separate from the rest. If your hair is long you can wrap it in a plastic bag. leaning forward use a brush to apply the bleach. If any bleach gets on the black hair wipe off all you can. Black hair is usually pretty resistant to black so it will have to be on there a while to do any damage. Even if the bleach does not say to use a cap it is fine to use a plastic bag as long as it is loose and there is room for air. You can tear a hole in the top if it makes you feel better. The bag will help avoid drips. Finish bleaching removal steps and your done.

normally i start the bottom section from the top of the ears down. i would probably use a level 4 so that it's not black and blonde because u don't want it to blead or look tacky. just be really careful with the bleach, i really hope your sister knows what she is doing with that part. good luck

I think less black is better, it will just look weird if you did it 50% blonde and 50% black; Proabably 75% blonde and just 25% black would look nice. I would say for you to tie your hair that you want blonde up and just leave the hair closer to the nape of your hair kinda messy so the dye job isn't too "perfect-looking". You would probably split this dye job into 2 separate times just so that the black won't accidentally run into the blonde part.

At the end, if you still decide you want more black, you can dye the blonde. But, if you dye your hair too much black near the bottom, you will HAVE to bleach it to get it blonde (which is a lot more damaging to your hair).

part your hair from temple like a horse shoe and put bleach

on the top and your dark color on the bottom.
