I think long layers are beautiful for any face-shape and hair color, no matter the age. I suggest keeping it simple and requesting only two layers. This way it will still be beautiful as it grows instead of starting to look shabby like so many styles do.

If you aren't looking to get it cut and just want a fun, cute, easy style I've found one that's practically foolproof and looks different everytime. The basic is this: Start with your hair pulled back into a ponytail and twist sections of hair and secure them randomly. I've used butterfly clips and bobbypins - used thin sections of hair and thick -secured the hair so it formed a bun and so the hair stuck straight up to show in the front - used gel to stick it up even more and left it natural. I never look into a mirror until it's done (and sometimes not at all) and always get compliments. I don't know how well I explained it, but I hope it helped.

Not too short, I like at least shoulder length.

layer it and scrunch it to frame ur face...itll look cute...im 5'5 and i have blonde, a little longer than shoulder lenghth hair and its cute...i have a round face...curls work better with an oval face cause it dont make ur face look too big

Oval faces look good with some bangs. Not a lot of thick bangs, just a small amount, swept to the side. Actually, you are lucky because an oval face can wear any hairstyle successfully...it's the round and square faces that need help hiding the angles.

I see you with long, straigtened hair that is versatile so you can wear it in a ponytail for school, curled to be fancy, and straight to look put together.

i'm having the same delima....

i'm thinking about side-swept bangs like hilary duff's sisters (the name escape's me at the moment).....

and lots 'o layers about down to your shoulders or a little past

With an Oval face you don't want to go short it makes the roundness more prevalent ( stick out more).

I also have an oval face and am about the same height..although I am 28..the best hairstyle I have found was layers. Have the first layer cut at your chin length and tell them to layer it out to right below your shoulders.

This look gives you a lot of options to do different styles, and makes the roundness in your face something that won't be noticed straight away when you meet people.

Good luck!

You could always use a clip, I have long hair. What I do is put my hair in low or in the middle pony tail, then twist it and clip it in a clip. That's really all I can tell you. You have to experiment with different ways and styles. You could also use a headband, I am a big fan of headbands. You can use different colors and styles.

well is your hair curly or straight, thick or thin? do you have a lot of hair or do you have trouble getting body? i would say if you have a long face bangs are usually a good idea, not full straight across bangs, they will make you look younger, but choppy side swept bangs are cute (thats what i have, what i like about them is even if you just put your hair in a ponytail you can style the bangs and look like you took time getting ready), as for length, i wouldnt go too long, it can make an oval face look longer but definitely keep your shortest layer below your chin to maintain proportion, i think medium choppy layers are cute and fun and look good on most hair types and face shapes but remember not too short, check out some images online and maybe post a couple you like to get some opinions
