my g/f likes it when i don't put gel in my hair but i can't stand it, i think it looks dumb because it poofs out and my bangs look dumb because they are in a perfect line. my hair is a little wavey and it grows in really thick. so i was wondering if there is something i could use that will make my hair not look like it has gel in it but i could also style at the same time or a certain procedure i could do to get my hair to do what i want. my hair is about medium length btw

If you don't like gel, you'll hate wax. I think mousse might work, unless your hair is too thick. Maybe you need a slightly different cut, where the stylist thins the poofy parts so it falls more tightly. Try that!
